Accessing Mental Health Services 

Telephone our clinic and make an appointment with one of our team members including Psychologists (Clinical, Registered, & Provisional), Registered Counsellors and Practice Nurses. Alternatively, email your referral to our Admin Team.

Our Triage Team will review the referral and will determine the most appropriate team members to provide the initial consultation. At that time, clients may clarify their needs and expectations of the service in order to make an informed decision about whether to continue working with our providers.

Fees

You may be a self-referred/self-funded client; or with appropriate referral eligibility, access funding or rebates via:

  • your private health insurance cover. We have HICAPS facilities on site.
  • visit your GP and discuss your eligibility to access Medicare rebates for mental health services under a Better Access Mental Health Care Plan or other 3rd party supports, e.g.:
    • NDIS-supported services
    • Open Arms services for veterans and their families
    • Workcover for adjustment to work injuries
    • FESSN supports for emergency service workers
    • DVA Gold & White card benefits
    • HICAPS private health rebates
    • PHN commissioned services for our consumers in Southwest Qld and the South Burnett.

We offer a range of in-clinic services (Toowoomba, Charleville and Kingaroy) and remote-access services for our clients across the country. Our standard fees vary according to the qualifications and experience of our healthcare providers and the nature of services being provided.

Standard rates per clinical hour of service are typically:

  • $195 – $295/hour for Clinical Psychology and remote area services
  • $155 – $215/hour for our Registered Psychologists
  • $120 – $160/hour for Counselling & Provisional Psychology services

A 20% discount may be applied for eligible health care concession card holders.

We have set price guidelines with our 3rd party organisations which may also limit the range of services available to some clients depending on those funding sources.

GPs may be able to complete a Mental Health Care Plan referral with you over the phone- all you need to do is call your local GP clinic, and request a telehealth mental health assessment.

Most of our providers are registered with NDIS, Medicare Australia and Private Health Funds, enabling eligible clients to access reduced fees for individual and/or group programs.

Medicare rebates vary depending on individual circumstances, e.g., for patients with a current Mental Health Care Plan who see a Clinical Psychologist, the rebate is approximately $150. For those patients seeing a Registered Psychologist, the rebate is approximately $100.  If the family medical safety net has been reached within the calendar year, a higher rebate may be payable.

Private health funds may also rebate on our services. Rebates vary depending on your fund and level of cover. Contact your health fund for the latest rebate information.
