About MSMH: Our Steps to Mental Health
At MSMH, we’ve been providing evidence-based mental health care, education, and training for over 20 years. Founded in 2001 as Inclusive Education Services, we evolved into Mylne Street Mental Health in 2011, and rebranded as Mind, Science & My Health in 2021. In recent years, we’ve expanded our services to rural hubs in Charleville and Kingaroy, and in 2024, we moved to our new Toowoomba location at 11 Westland Street. Led by Clinical Director, Michelle Aniftos, MSMH is built on over 40 years of experience working in regional Queensland. We’re deeply committed to inclusive, co-designed care that respects the diverse identities, strengths, and needs of our communities.
What We Do
We support clients across the lifespan—from early childhood to older adults—responding to a wide range of mental health needs. We combine neuroscience, psychology, and lived experience to support individuals experiencing:
- Neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., autism, ADHD, intellectual and learning disabilities)
- Mood and anxiety-related disorders
- Stress and trauma arising from health, work, or life events
Our brain-based, transdiagnostic model personalises care for people with complex or co-occurring concerns, those who’ve had limited success with standard treatments, or who need detailed assessment to guide their supports.
Our Approach: Inclusive, Evidence-Based and Co-Designed
We believe that effective care is designed with, not just for, the people we support. MSMH embraces inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practices, ensuring our services are welcoming and accessible to people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. Our MSMH Steps to Mental Health model offers a continuum of care to:
- Promote wellbeing and prevention
- Empower consumers and carers with core knowledge and skills
- Provide tailored, specialised intervention when needed
While we do not offer crisis services, we collaborate with other providers to ensure safe, connected care.
Our Values: CLEAR

- Collaboration – Across professions, agencies, and with consumers
- Learning – Growth through understanding, reflection, and shared experience
- Equity – Fair access to care and professional support, especially in rural and remote areas
- Accountability – Safe, ethical, and high-quality service delivery
- Respect – A culture of inclusion, dignity, and cultural responsiveness
Why MSMH?
We’re more than a clinic—we’re a community. MSMH is known for being a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for consumers, carers, students, and staff. We prioritise:
